Add user

There are two more variants of this page for editing and importing users. On the edit page, there are some variations in the input fields, as well as more functions and information. The other configuration options in the tabs Permissions, Bank selection and Account selection are the same for all three variants. By clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the page, the changes you have made are saved.

Note: The settings made here refer only to the users set up in BL Banking Web, but not to the associated subscribers at the bank.

General

Name

Enter the user name of the new user here that he must use when logging on for the first time. He can then change it in the preferences under General. If you change the name of an existing and currently logged in user, he will be logged out of the application at the next click and can only log on again with the new name. The same happens when you change your own name.

User with administrator rights

Here you can grant or revoke administrator rights to the user selected in the overview. This checkbox is grayed out if you have marked yourself in the overview. A list of the permissions can be found in the section Administrator rights. The setting here must be distinguished from the right to manage a tenant, which can be configured on the page Users of a tenant.

License code

Only when editing an existing user, there is a field at this point, where the license code is displayed read-only. To the right there is the button Update license data. If a change has been made to the license, e.g. because more users have been ordered, the license data must be updated here.

User without bank access

You can also create users, who will not be initialized at the bank. These users cannot exchange data with the bank, but can otherwise use all functions of BL Banking Web, for example, enter payments or view account statements. Such a user is marked with a dash in the column Bank access of the overview. A license for BL Banking Web is not required for a user without bank access. Once created, you cannot subsequently convert such a user to one with bank access. The same applies vice versa.

This field appears only on the pages for creating and editing a user. When importing, there is instead the read-only checkbox User imports own bank accesses, which is for information only.

Password

This field and the subsequent for the repetition only appear for the cases that you create a new or import an existing user, but not when editing a user. An administrator sets a temporary password here, which allows the user to log in only one time. A newly created user is then prompted to change this. When importing, the user then enters his previous password.

Reset / Lock

The buttons Reset user and Lock login are only available on the edit page. You can find a description in the section User administration. Also only on the edit page, below the buttons is the information about the last login and password change, two-factor authentication, as well as failed login and signature attempts.

Two-factor authentication

Also only on the edit page there is the button Remove two-factor authentication. If you click this, a page with an overview of the security keys of the respective user is displayed. To delete a key, you must specify one of your own security keys.
