Roles and rights

Certain functions and settings are only available for users with administrative rights. This is for security reasons when operating the application with multiple users.

There are three different roles with scaled administrative rights. Each role can be assigned to several users if required.

Super-Admin

This role is primarily intended for Portal installations with one operator and several customers. A Super-Admin is an administrator with special rights. By setting up a Super-Admin, the rights of other administrators are restricted.

Only a Super-Admin has the right to perform the following actions:

  • Edit database settings
  • Edit setting for encrypted data backup
  • Edit an administrator's permission to add users, modify and delete administrators *
  • Edit an administrator's permission to create and delete tenants *

Administrator

At least one user must be an administrator. If no super administrator is set up, the administrator is also automatically assigned this role. The administrator role can be granted in the User administration.

An administrator is allowed to:

  • Edit system settings
  • Edit directories for files to send *
  • Create, manage and delete tenants *
  • Administrate users of all tenants *

Manager of a tenant

The rights of a manager are limited to the tenants, for which he is responsible. The role of the manager is assigned in tenant management, see Tenants — Users of a tenant. A tenant can have several managers.

A manager is allowed to:

  • Manage assigned tenants
  • Manage users of the his tenants
  • Edit banks and accounts *

*) Permission can be revoked individually.

The administrator rights described here must be distinguished from the bank-specific authorizations, e.g. signature classes or payment types. These are set in the user profile at the bank and transmitted via HTD.
