Add information

On the tabs Transactions and Advised transactions, you can optionally fill the columns Category and Note, either separately or in combination. A category is a freely selectable feature for classification, a note is an individual text, e.g., a processing note. Category and note are not filled with booking information and are also not included in the printout. There are no predefined categories or notes; you can design them freely. This private information is available to all users, allowing you to use it to organize work processes, for example.

In the transaction overview, you can sort by both information columns. When filtering transactions, entries from categories and notes are also included if you filter by text, as described in section Filter transactions.

To edit information, click on a row or select multiple rows by clicking while holding down the Ctrl or Shift key. Right-click to open the context menu and select Add information.

In the following dialog box, you can use the checkboxes to select whether you want to edit a category, a note, or both. The corresponding field becomes editable and the information can be created, changed, and assigned to the selected transactions. Uncheck a box to prevent unintended changes.

Create categories

Categories are collected in a drop-down list so that they can be reused. To create a new category, click the button New behind the field and enter the desired name in the following dialog box. To create additional categories, repeat the process now or later. You can change a category by selecting the name from the drop-down list, clicking the button Modify behind the field, and overwriting the old name. A category that you no longer need can be removed from the list by clicking on Delete. Modifying the name updates it for all assigned transactions, while deleting it removes all assignments.

To assign a category to the currently selected transactions, select it from the drop-down list and click the Finish button. To remove an assignment without deleting the category, assign the empty entry from the drop-down list.

Create notes

Notes are individual texts that are not collected. You can write them directly in the activated input field. Clicking Finish assigns the note. An existing note is displayed in the field when the dialog box is reopened and can also be modified for several selected transactions with the same note. Removing the note entry from the field cancels the assignment.

Note: If you click on a single line in the transaction overview, the custom information fields are also displayed in the Booking details area, but only if they contain a value.
