Legend: Preferences apply only to you personally. System settings apply to all users across the entire installation. System settings that can only be edited by users with administrator rights are displayed in grey to users without administrator rights. Here, they are marked with an asterisk *.
Preferences
Always run in background

By default, a dialog box is displayed during time-consuming processes, such as automatic retrieval processes, showing their progress. In this dialog box, you can enable background execution and thereby activate this preference. Alternatively, you can configure the user setting so that time-consuming processes always run in the background.

Keep the next/previous editor and the view and perspective dialog open

This setting is designed to keep perspectives and views in a specified order. Instead of using this preference, you can control the display of perspectives and the views within them via the Window menu and the context menu of the respective title.

Show heap status

This setting is used to display at the bottom bar of the program window, how much memory the BL Banking program currently consumes. This can be helpful to analyze errors in certain situations.

Open mode

By default, double-clicking with the mouse performs the Open action, while a single mouse click performs the Select action. You can switch to single-click mode and optionally combine this with hovering for Select and the arrow keys for the Open action. The effect of this setting is limited, as most perspectives have internal settings for mouse operation.
