Change to key files

If you no longer want to use your smartcard, you can switch to new keys, which are then stored in files on your computer. It is not necessary to re-initialize your bank connections, i.e. the new keys are active immediately and without release by the bank.

To initiate the key change, click on Change to key files in the main menu under Actions. This launches an assistant where you can enter your password and select the signature version and key lengths. You then need to enter the PIN for your smartcard — with a smartcard reader without keyboard only one time in the dialog box, however on a reader with keyboard one time for each bank. In the latter case, if you have set Change keys with PUB/HCA in the bank properties, you need to enter the PIN twice for each bank on the reader.
