Question 55:

Is it possible to start BL Banking via a UNC path from a file server?

If you try to start BL Banking via a shortcut with a UNC path as target, e.g. \\server\share\blbanking, the wizard for the first initialization appears.

Instead you can insert a drive letter as the target in the shortcut, e.g. K:\blbanking, or additionally to the program directory specify the path to the workspace directory using the parameter -data, e.g. "\\server\share\blbanking\BL Banking.exe" -data \\server\share\blbanking\workspace.

This situation might happen if BL Banking was already installed and in operation locally, and was then moved to a file server. Also the installation scenario with terminal server, e.g. Citrix, can lead to this situation.
